"Bumping my head against the range hood is a thing of the past in this kitchen."

Anja and Rob have lived in this terraced house in Barendrecht for 22 years. They both love good food. Anja is originally a cook and Rob likes to be around their luxurious barbecue. After fifteen years, the couple felt that the kitchen needed renovation. It had seen its best days. The appliances were suffering from ailments and the blue fronts were also outdated. They were not yet familiar with I-KOOK, but a walk along the home furnishing boulevard prompted them to visit the new store in Barendrecht.

This is what makes our kitchen so special

When Anja and Rob saw our store's flag that read, "The kitchen for everyone," they didn't hesitate for a moment. "We find it especially important not to feel rushed by a salesman. We met Patrick van Barneveld and we had a good feeling with him almost immediately. We were given all the time we needed to let everything sink in and to think about it. We really liked that," says Rob.

Rob and Anja had a small space available for the kitchen. Anja in particular had already come up with many ideas and knew well what she wanted in the new kitchen. "I think the angled hood was designed especially for me. In our old kitchen, because of my height, I often bumped my head while cooking. That's a thing of the past now. I have all the space I need to enjoy cooking," Rob laughs.

"The cooktop is clean in seconds"

He is also very pleased with the induction hob. "Usually my wife cooks and I clean the kitchen afterwards. This induction cooktop is clean again in a matter of seconds. That was different with our gas stove." Anja is also happy with the cooktop. Rob says that the plate heats up quickly and that it is definitely a difference from cooking on gas. "It works lightning fast and heats the pans well."

In the old kitchen, the layout was a corner. Taking out the corner created much more space. The kitchen has a number of drawers measuring 1.20 meters. "We had already seen such drawers at friends of ours. We liked that too". Despite the somewhat smaller kitchen, there is plenty of storage space! The colors of the fronts are combined with the worktop. "The look of the kitchen is much calmer and brings a nicer atmosphere to the house. Really a difference from that blue from before," says Rob

Rob and Anja are especially pleased with I-KOOK's calm approach and aftercare. "The guests who came to install the kitchen were also very friendly," Rob says cheerfully. The couple appreciate the aftercare and enjoy sharing the final result with kitchen coach Patrick once again. "Other kitchen stores just don't do that. And when I think about it, I really appreciate that anyway!".
