Vastgoedmaatschappij Van der Loo is part of Beheermaatschappij Van der Loo bv and is primarily engaged in the management, development and leasing of (commercial) business premises. In addition to business premises, we also lease office and residential space. Much attention is paid to future-oriented real estate, with an eye for developments in the market.

What exactly does Realty Company Van der Loo do?

We are a real family business, founded some 80 years ago by my grandfather and made great by my father. I run the company together with my three sisters. We operate various retail, residential, and office properties throughout the Netherlands. I myself am primarily responsible for the financial matters within the company. We have a clear division of roles and that works well!

What construction project are you currently working on?

Our family ran a few furniture stores for a long time and when we stopped doing this a few years back, we had the land and the large building in Asten left over, where we are now realizing the project De Linde - Urban Living. This project is aimed at the private luxury rental market and consists of 11 spacious industrial loft apartments and 10 luxury apartments. Quite a project for us. Because it is a rental project, we as builders have to install the perfect kitchens ourselves for our future tenants. We are talking about 21 kitchens in total. That's quite a lot, so we were looking for an expert kitchen partner to advise us on this. We asked several parties to quote for this

Why was I-KOOK chosen?

What we found so striking is that Roel Oostra (ed. co-owner I-KOOK) invited us quite quickly to the showroom in Capelle aan den IJssel to quietly go through everything with each other. For me, that personal touch typifies I-KOOK. I really like that personal contact. Better than communicating via e-mail and telephone as is often done nowadays. We composed and ordered all the kitchens in one afternoon. Then the entire process is guided by your personal kitchen coach. For us that was Jessica Renders and that worked very pleasantly. You can ask all your questions and share any problems directly with your kitchen coach. These and these are addressed seriously and quickly. In addition, we also came to a quick agreement on the price. All these factors made I-KOOK stand out head and shoulders above the rest for us and we entered into the partnership.

Is this the first project with I-KOOK?

This is the first construction project for us that we are doing together with I-KOOK. And I must say, so far to our great satisfaction!

What kind of kitchens did they turn out to be?

On the advice of Roel and kitchen coach Jessica, we went for timeless white kitchens. In addition, we insisted on having 5 appliances in the kitchens to make the kitchens complete. So all kitchens have an induction hob, combination oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and hood. Roel and Jessica really listened well to our wishes and what feeling the whole project should give future residents. And they succeeded! We are very happy with our kitchens and the first half has even already been delivered and is ready for installation.

Will you choose I-KOOK again for your next project?

I must say that I-KOOK lives up to what they say and a reliable partner is what you need in such large construction projects. Their involvement is also very pleasant. Nothing is too much and any problems are solved quickly and competently. So when there is a next project we will definitely take I-KOOK into the process. I always invite several potential partners to make an offer, I think as an entrepreneur you owe that to yourself. Incidentally, I expect that we will be able to come to an agreement with I-KOOK next time. We are very satisfied with the cooperation and are looking forward to the delivery next summer.
